How it works

We will invite the performer whose online performance gained 3 million views in three months on our Youtube platform. Those who are invited will perform against other contestants via a formal audition in front of our selected judges. The finalist will then compete against everyone that has made it to qualify for the grand finale, all of which will be based on the vote of the public around the world.

A small portion of the vote will be rendered by the judges and will be tallied based on the online votes accumulated from around the world. The in-person audition event will be streamed online live, allowing a diverse audience and a panel of judges to engage with the participants in real time in the finale of the contest.

The performers must submit either classical music and contemporary performances ei: pop music, jazz, classical crossover etc using their instruments or voice.

Release of Rights

Who owns it?

Video rights release conditions are the specific terms and clauses in a legal agreement, signed by participants in a video, that grant the producer explicit permission to use the individual’s likeness, voice, and performance in the recorded media.

Key conditions typically detailed in a video release form include:
Scope of Use: The form specifies exactly how the footage can be used, edited, published, and distributed (e.g., in a film festival, on a website, for advertising, or for educational purposes).

Modification Rights: A clause is generally included that allows the producer to edit or modify the footage as needed (e.g., cutting an interview for clarity or using stills from the video).

Commercial and Non-Commercial Usage: The conditions should state whether the material can be used for both commercial (monetized) and non-commercial purposes, which offers broader protection for potential future uses. For the Battle of the Virtuosos both.

Third-Party Rights: The agreement often includes a condition allowing the producer to transfer or license the rights to the footage to a third party (e.g., a distributor or another organization).

Time Limit/Perpetuity: The form should specify the duration for which the rights are granted. Producers often seek rights “in perpetuity” (indefinitely) to avoid future complications.

Waiver of Inspection/Approval: Participants often waive their right to inspect or approve the finished product or any advertising materials that use their image/voice.

Release of Liability: This condition protects the producer from future claims such as libel, slander, invasion of privacy, or copyright infringement related to the use of the footage.

Compensation Details: The form must clearly state whether the participant is receiving payment or royalties, or if they are agreeing to no compensation. No compensation once release of rights have been agreed to and material submitted bearing Battle Of The Virtuosos Logo

Grant of Rights: The participant explicitly assigns any rights they might have in their contribution to the producer.

Age and Consent: The form should confirm the participant is over 18 or, if a minor, include a separate signature section for a parent or legal guardian to provide informed consent.
